This is a divinely pretty antique German porcelain coffee set. It is boxed and complete and has 12 cups, 12 saucers, a pot with lid, a sugar bowl with lid, a jug and 12 silver plated spoons. It would be perfect for a genteel gathering and would look gorgeous displayed in a vitrine.

Each piece is pink and white and has a charming 18th Century romantic scene to the front. There is a lovely gilded floral pattern over the rest of the piece and the handles are also gilded.

The coffee set has been used. There is some wear to the gilding and the transfers and one small chip to the bottom of the jug (please see photos). The spoons have a little patination to the plating and there is some crazing to the bottom of 2 saucers. These characteristics do not detract from the usability of the set or it's beauty.

The fitted box is covered in red baize and lined with a white textile. It is hinged and closes with two cute clasps. It is a little scuffed with the passage of time.

The box measures :- 57.5 cm (22.6 inches) wide x 41 cm (16.1 inches) deep x 12 cm ( 4.75 inches) high. The cups are of a size to take an espresso.
