Description
This is a delightfully pretty vintage French tapestry tablecloth / throw dating around 1950/60. It has a beautiful roses design and would be the perfect finishing touch to a vintage home.
It is made in a textured tapestry with a cream background and gorgeous rose and flower vignettes. The flowers are in stunning shades of pink, green, blue, yellow and peach. A tasselled fringe around the edge finishes off this charming old textile.
We have left the throw as we found it, in good vintage condition. It is of clean appearance with a few faint marks which blend into the design and do not draw the eye (please see photos). The tassels have tousled a little over the passage of time and one or two are missing.
The throw measures :- 140 cm (4 ft 7.1 inches) x 168 cm (5 ft 6.1 inches) not including the fringe. The fringe is about 3 cm (1.1 inches) long.
