B1882 - Heavenly Antique French Ribbonwork Table Runner / Pelmet, Flowers & Butterflies

This heavenly antique French ribbonwork tablerunner would also make a beautiful pelmet. It would be divine over a window or a door and could perhaps be used over a bed.

It is made in linen in a lovely natural hue and has an inner open weave border. The edges are scalloped and trimmed with a cream passementerie.

The whole of the piece is covered in a plethora of gorgeous ribbonwork and embroidered flowers and butterflies - just lovely.

The colours are soft pastels with darker touches of burgundy.

The piece is beautifully clean and in excellent antique condition. I can find just one leaf where the threads of the ribbon have seperated (please see photos).

It measures :- 180 cm (5 ft 10.9 inches) wide x 41 cm (1 ft 4.2 inches) high.
