This is a gorgeous vintage French tapestry wall hanging dating around 1970/80.  It is woven in wonderful colour and detail. It depicts a 16th Century hunting scene.

To the foreground a nobleman and woman are mounted on fabulous steeds. They are beautifully dressed and are accompanied by their huntsmen and dogs. In the background is a mountain and a magnificent waterside château. All around is lush vegetation and stunning trees.

Around this splendour is a sewn floral border.

The tapestry is finely woven in cotton. It is lined and has fittings on the back for hanging purposes.

It is in good vintage condition and is of good quality.

It measures :- 139.5 cm (4 ft 6.9 inches) wide x 119.5 cm ( 3 ft 11 inches) high.
