B1774 - Beautiful Antique French Hand Painted Glass Casket, Jewellery, Trinket Box 19th Century

This is a beautiful antique French glass casket dating from the Napoleon III era C1860.  It is the perfect size to sit on a dressing table in a château chic boudoir.

The casket is cylindrical in shape and sits on 3 cute gilded metal ball feet. The glass of the body of the casket has an opaque finish and is in a divine shade of green around the collar. The side of the casket is hand painted with beautiful aubergine and green flowers with gilded highlights.

The lid is hinged and is made from a circle of thick bevelled clear glass claw set into a metal frame with a cute scrolled clasp.

The casket is sturdy and in good antique condition.

It measures :-  9.5 cms (3.75 inches) high x 8 cm (3.25 inches) diameter.
