This is a charming hand made antique French cushion dating about 1920/30. It is large and sumptuous and would look absolutely stunning on a daybed or chaise in a boudoir or salon.

The cushion is oval in shape. The top panel has been fabulously hand worked in fine needlepoint. The design is utterly gorgeous. It has a turquoise background upon which is a basket tied with a ribbon. A tiny kitten sits in the centre of the basket surrounded by gorgeous pink roses and buds - just lovely.

The tapestry panel is set in a silky textile in a lovely shade of pink. The textile is gently gathered around the edge of the cushion giving it a soft and sumptuous look.

The cushion is in good general antique condition. There is a small repair to the needlepoint and a few minor marks to the back (please see photos) but nothing to detract from the charm of this lovely cushion.

It measures :- 65 cm (25.6 inches) x 46 cm (18.1 inches) and is approx. 11 cm (4.3 inches) thick.

This is a gorgeous cushion to add an authentic antique finishing touch and another divine antique French textile find from La Belle Étoffe.
