B2102 - Impressive Antique French Spelter Double Picture / Photo Frame, Cherub, Putti

This is an impressive antique French double picture frame with a stand dating from the 19th Century. It would be the perfect way to display a pair of photos.

It is made in spelter and has a fabulous bronze finish. It has a gorgeous cherub crest from which acanthus leaf scrolls and flowers descend down each side of the frame ending with a final curl which forms each of the feet - just fabulous.

The frame has a sturdy stand. On the back of the frame is a plate with 5 screws which secures the glass and the photos.

The frame is in good antique condition. It is very substantial weighing nearly 1 kg.

It measures :- 21 cm (8.2 inches) high x 21 cm (8.2 inches) wide.

Each aperture measures :- approx. 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) high x approx 5.5 cm (2.1 inches) wide.
