B2190 - Divine Tall Antique Religious Bisque Statue Virgin Mary, Madonna, Serpent & Apple

This is a beautiful tall antique religious bisque statue of The Virgin Mary probably originating from Germany. It is very decorative and would make a stunning addition to a religious or vintage display.

The Holy Virgin is standing in prayer. Her face is painted in fine detail and her hair cascades down her back, just showing beneath her mantle. Her vestments fall around her in soft folds. Her robe is in a delicious shade of pink and her white cloak has gold stars and is trimmed in a baby blue. At Mary's feet are the serpent and the apple.

Mary stands on a decorative integral porcelain base. 

The statue is in good antique condition. The gilded detail on the base has worn away from years of cleaning but this does not detract from the beauty of this wonderful old piece.

The statue measures :-  36 cm (14.1 inches) high. The base is 14.25 cm (5.6 inches) in diameter.
