B1100 - Fantastic HUGE Antique French Textile Covered Boudoir Box, Printemps PARIS

This is a fantastic huge antique French textile covered boudoir box dating from the early 1900's. It came from the Paris store Printemps, is in wonderful condition and is indeed a rare find.

It is covered in a cotton fabric textile with a cream background and a stunning floral design in shades of pink, teal and yellow. The lid is padded and is edged with a gorgeous gold metallic passementerie now faded with the passage of time.

The lid lifts up to reveal a paper lined interior which is so clean it doesn't look like it has been used. The underside is also clean and in one of the corners there is a small round label stating 'AU PRINTEMPS, PARIS, GALERIES LILLOISES'.

The box is sturdy and the fabric is in excellent antique condition.

It measures :- 49.5 cm (19.5 inches) wide x 30 cm (11.75 inches) deep x 15 cm (6 inches) high.
