B2099 - Gorgeous Antique French Silvered Spelter Planter / Jardiniere, Dicentra Design

This is a gorgeous antique French planter / jardinière dating from the 1800's. It would be perfect to take a couple of cyclamen on a window ledge or shelf and would look superb filled with roses on a dinner table.

The jardinière is highly decorative and cast in wonderful detail. It has beautiful acanthus leaf scrolled handles with delicate Dicentra detail. It sits on 4 sturdy feet. The sides have a lovely Dicentra crest beneath which is further Dicentra detail.

The jardinière is made from spelter and is a weighty piece. The silver gilding on the spelter has mellowed over the years but still catches the light beautifully.

The interior of the jardinière has a lift out tray with 2 little ring handles.

The jardinière is in good antique condition and would add a gorgeous finishing touch to a château chic interior.

It measures :- W 29.75 cm (11.7 inches) x H 11 cm (4.3 inches) x D 13.5 cm (5.3 inches).
