B2071 - Pretty Pair Antique French Gilded Acanthus Leaf Curtain Tie / Hold Backs, 19th Century

This is a pretty pair of antique French gilded metal curtain tie / hold backs dating from the 1800's. They are hinged so they hang freely from the wall and allow drapes to be secured back in a natural and elegant manner.

The front of the hook has an acanthus leaf design in a Fleur de Lys shape and the back plate has decorative detail.

The gilding to the metal has mellowed to an antique old gold.

The tie backs have a strap on the back of the top plate and can be fixed to the wall by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 38.25 cm (15 inches) x W 7.25 cm (2.85 inches) x D 14.5 cm (5.7 inches).

This is a superb pair of curtain tie backs to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
