B2130 - Gorgeous Large Antique French Art Nouveau Plaster Bust, Country Maiden, Circa 1900

This is a gorgeous antique French Art Nouveau plaster bust dating around 1900. It would look superb, perhaps on a mantelpiece or on a side table.

The subject is a beautiful girl. She has lovely eyes, full pink lips and a gentle blush upon her cheeks. Her head is covered in a scarf with a lovely bow. Her hair escapes in waves and ringlets onto her shoulders and down her back.

She wears a simple gown which sits on her shoulders. It has a shawl collar and a laced bodice. It is in atmospheric shades of green and brown which extend down into the integral base of the bust.

The back of the bust has the maker's marks and 'Paris'.

We have left the bust as we found her. She is in good antique condition with some minor distressing to the paint.

She measures :- 40.5 cm (15.9 inches) high x 25.5 cm (10 inches) wide x 12.5 cm (4.9 inches) deep.

This is a gorgeous bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
